Sabi Drop Clay Cutter

The Rockrose Clay Sabi drop cutter is inspired by the Japanese design aesthetic wabi-sabi which refers to an appreciation of the impermanence of earthly things and finding pleasure in their transient nature. We designed our cutters specifically for polymer clay with extra sharp blades resulting in clean cuts and minimal sanding. Crafted with the professional polymer clay artist in mind, these lightweight and ergonomic cutters make creating intricate and detailed designs effortless. Size:

Please refer to the measured image in the listing when choosing the size of your cutter, as it reflects the location of the measurement. The measurements correspond to the size of the shape created when pressed into polymer clay.

Material:

Premium PLA, a thermoplastic material, produced from renewable resources. Due to its natural origins, PLA biodegrades into non-toxic substances, making it an environmentally friendly and sustainable option.

Care:

Maintain the cleanliness of your cutters by washing them with lukewarm water and soap, or gently wiping off any remaining polymer clay with a wet wipe. It is important to note that these cutters are not suitable for dishwashers and should be kept away from heat and sunlight. To preserve their condition, store the cutters in a cool dry area. While the cutters have some flexibility, they are susceptible to breakage if bent or mishandled.

To Use:

When using your new clay cutter, gently press it into the polymer clay until the cutting edge makes contact with the work surface. Then, wiggle and lift to remove. For optimal results, work on a ceramic, glass, or acrylic tile, as this will prevent the clay from sticking to the cutter. To further prevent sticking, we suggest lightly dusting either the clay surface or the cutter with cornstarch.
