Welcome to Rockrose Clay Co.
Rockrose Clay is a woman and veteran-owned studio where artistry meets intention; a space for both wearable art and the tools that help others create their own.
Founded by husband and wife team, Lisa and Michael, Rockrose began with a simple love of polymer clay and a curiosity about what was possible.
With a Master of Science in Accountancy and a career in corporate finance, Lisa first turned to jewelry making, specifically bead weaving, as a way to decompress after long days at the office. It quickly became more than a hobby. It was a grounding, meditative practice that opened the door to a more creative life, and the possibility of being more present for her daughter.
At the heart of Rockrose is a passion for artisan jewelry — earthy, expressive, and made slowly by hand. Lisa’s pieces blend polymer clay with natural gemstones, hand-formed metals, and carefully layered textures to create jewelry that feels like a personal talisman: artful, soulful, and deeply wearable.
Together, Lisa and Michael also design professional-grade clay tools for fellow makers. Lisa tests each clay cutter for comfort and function, while Michael transforms her designs into precise CAD drawings and scales them to a full range of sizes. Their shared goal is to make tools that feel as thoughtfully made as the art they help create.
Rockrose Clay is a celebration of materials, meaning, and the quiet magic of things made by hand — whether it’s jewelry to wear or tools to create with.
Meet the Artist
Hi, I’m Lisa, a self-taught jewelry artist with a background in corporate finance and a deep appreciation for slow, intentional work.
I started creating as a way to decompress after long office days, and over time it became a passion that I couldn’t ignore. Clay, beads, brass, copper, and gemstones — these materials inspire me endlessly. Together, they allow me to make jewelry that feels like a story: layered, soulful, and beautiful to wear.
Each piece is crafted with care in small batches, using processes that take time but reward patience — from hand-shaping clay components to wiring gemstones and forming metal elements by hand. I believe jewelry should feel personal and powerful, like a tiny piece of art you carry with you.
I run Rockrose with my husband, who helps bring many of the behind-the-scenes pieces of this dream to life. We’re raising our daughter alongside this business, and it means the world to be creating something she can see grow.
Whether you're here to wear something meaningful or to create with your own hands — I’m so glad you're here.
